Adami Bosco di Gica Prosecco Valdobbiadene DOCG
Description Bosco di Gica is the ancient name of the location where the Adami family vineyards are grown. The origins of the grape and the production criteria are similar to those of the traditional Prosecco Spumante. The Brut is obviously dryer and is an excellent aperitif, but also a versatile spumante complementing fish, shellfish and crustaceans. Long periods of refrigeration must be avoided as this alters its qualities. 9-10 g/L residual sugar.
Straw yellow. Creamy mousse and delicate, long-lasting bead. Rich, with excellent fruit, releasing scents of yellow apple and peach, with notes of wisteria and acacia blossom. Wonderful balance and elegance complement a pleasurably crisp spiciness. Delicious vein of acidity, displaying crisp, savoury mouthfeel. Generous, lingering flavours nicely mirror the nose and achieve perfect balance.
Harvest 20 September - 10 October
Vinification Light pressing with bladder presses, settling of must, fermentation at controlled temperatures (18-20°C) with cultured yeasts. Contact with fine lees in stainless steel for three months. The second fermentation “Metodo Italiano” takes place in steel pressure tanks. Tight filtration before bottling to remove spent yeast from the sparkling wine.
Food matching Ideally suited for fish and seafood dishes.
Vaierty 95-97% Glera, 3-5% Chardonnay.
